North East Gorkha Cultural Festival to be held at Chümoukedima, Nagaland
The Gorkha community in Nagaland is gearing up for a spectacular cultural extravaganza with the first North East Gorkha Cultural Festival cum Mr. and Miss Gorkha Nagaland Season 2, scheduled to take place on December 10 at Singrijan, Chümoukedima.
The festival is being organized by Hamro Chinhari Nagaland Prant (HCNP), a Gorkha cultural organization in the state. The festival is expected to attract Gorkhas from all states of the North East, including Darjeeling, and Nepal. It will celebrate the a unique traditions of Gorkha culture, showcasing the community’s rich heritage and traditions.
The festival will feature a variety of cultural performances, including traditional Gorkha dances, music, and drama. There will also be food stalls serving authentic Gorkha cuisine.
In addition to the cultural performances, the festival will also host the grand finale of Mr. and Miss Gorkha Nagaland Season 2. The pageantry competition is open to Gorkha residents of Nagaland, aged 16 to 29.
